Your Questions, Answered

  • Mobile wound care is specialized wound treatment delivered directly to a patient's home, assisted living facility, memory care community, or skilled nursing facility. Instead of transporting patients to a hospital wound center, a wound care specialist comes to the patient — providing the same advanced assessments and treatments in a more convenient, less disruptive setting.

  • We treat all types of acute and chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure injuries (all stages), surgical wounds, skin tears, wound infections, arterial ulcers, and non-healing or stalled wounds. Our team is trained in advanced debridement, compression therapy, cellular tissue products, negative pressure wound therapy, and infection management.

  • Contact us at (727) 346-8050 or info@k2wounds.com. We accept referrals from physicians, facilities, home health agencies, and family members. After receiving a referral, we schedule an initial wound assessment — typically within a few days — and develop a personalized treatment plan.

  • Yes. We work with Medicare and many Advantage insurance plans. Our team handles insurance verification and authorization to ensure coverage before treatment begins.

  • Visit frequency depends on the wound type and treatment plan. Most patients receive one to three visits per week. Your wound care specialist will assess healing progress at each visit and adjust the treatment plan as needed.

  • Absolutely. We coordinate closely with home health nurses, facility care teams, and referring physicians. Our goal is to complement existing care — not replace it. We share wound documentation, progress updates, and treatment recommendations with all members of the care team.

  • We currently serve communities throughout the Tampa Bay region, including Pinellas County (Palm Harbor, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Largo, Dunedin), Pasco County (New Port Richey, Trinity, Wesley Chapel), and Hillsborough County (Tampa, Brandon, Riverview). We are expanding to additional markets across Florida and nationally. Contact us to check availability in your area.

  • We combine conservative and advanced wound care technology — including XSONX vibrational debridement and cellular tissue products — with consistent provider assignments, detailed documentation, and true partnership with referring physicians and facility teams. Our specialists don't just treat wounds — we integrate into your care workflow.
